  • Introduction

    Introduction to the Major

    In the 21st century of information-oriented society and globalization forced enterprise to adapt and learn which means the adaptability of an organization and strategic mind of its members become more crucial than ever. In information-oriented society, business competition is not based on just particular technology or resources but possession and management of appropriate human resources.

    The major in Human Resource and Organizational Strategy in the Division of Business Administration aims to provide an understanding of prominent issues related to the goals of enterprise, planning and use of strategic management and system structures suitable for the environment of a business, while examining methodologies to effectively develop and utilize human resources.

    In information-oriented society, Resource Based View and Organizational Theory are heavily emphasized. Resource Based View perceives human resources as the most important resources and the demand for intellectual workers put emphasis on the need for human resources and organizational strategy. Therefore, Human Resources and Organization Strategy major focuses on strategic behavior of enterprise, techniques for establishing strategy, and competence required for development of organization and human resources

    Educational purposes

    1. Training competent persons who are able to carry out the objectives and management strategies of the organization in today’s technological and global business environment
    2. Training competent persons who are able to predict future market trends and can continually adapt to the changing business internal and external environments
    3. Training competent persons who are able to enter the work place without retraining through a practical-based education that matches the industry’s needs
    4. Training competent persons who are able to work in a variety fields related to Liberal Arts studies
    5. Training competent persons who are able to dedicate themselves to both the professional development of their personal career as well as the development of the industry’s growth
