The Senior Business and Management Department of Hanyang Cyber University was established to nurture experts that will lead various industrial, financial and marketing in preparation for the 21st-century mega-trend of low birth-aged society. While scientifically predicting the future economy based on demography, the Department it conduct research on industries and marketing of the health, economics, finance, residence, recreation, etc. that satisfy the various desires and needs of people in the 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond.
As the Elderly-friendly Industry Promotion Act (2006) and the Elderly Long-term Care Insurance Law (2007) are implemented, experts in senior business are urgently needed. The Senior Business and Management Department develops and provides products, service and marketing strategies for citizens in their 50s and beyond, and provides training opportunities for students to learn a variety of theoretical and practical skills in demographics, economy, industry, finance, etc.
Based on a comprehensive understanding of the senior business, graduates can engage themselves in product development, service provision and marketing for the aged. They can also take further studies at graduate schools, or start their career as professionals in the government, government-affiliated organizations, research institutes, and senior business firms and service institutions abroad.
