  • Introduction

    Purpose of Establishment

    Under the founding principle of “Love in Deed and Truth,” Hanyang Cyber University’s Department of Real Estate Studies was established in 2004 to foster “Cross-Over” type real estate experts through cyber real estate education. In addition, based on the future-oriented educational system (e-learning) in the 21st century, the department is becoming the cradle of theoretical knowledge and practical education of real estate studies.

    The Department of Real Estate Studies provides high-quality lectures through outstanding professors in the field of real estate.

    Specialized Curriculum

    The Department of Real Estate Studies was first established in 2004 and was operated under the Department of Real Estate and Urban Studies (real estate asset management major) for the recent 3 years (2014 ~ 2016). Then starting in 2017, it was reborn into the “Department of Real Estate Studies” with a solid foundation through the renewal of the curriculum for the new department.
    From the result of faithfully reflecting student demands, internally stabilizing the curriculum, and reorganizing to practical/onsite-oriented education during the process, the department formed 3 special tracks of “real estate asset management,” “real estate development/sale,” and “real estate brokerage/auction/taxation.”
    In addition, by preparing basic and intensive curriculum per track, learning customized to the students’ level is now available. [Refer to Curriculum Roadmap.]

    Double Major Available

    Hanyang Cyber University enables the students to pursue double majors from two desired departments.

    In light of the fact that
    1) convergence among departments is easy as the majority of Hanyang Cyber University’s departments share the same affiliation of humanities and social science studies just as the real estate studies
    2) and real estate is related to other departments due to the nature of real estate,
    real estate studies is the department with excellent convergence educational effect as shown in the examples.

    Ex.) Real Estate Studies + Law ▷ Can simultaneously learn real estate-related laws in detail.
    Real Estate Studies + Counseling Psychology ▷ Can acquire converged learning on real estate-related counseling, psychology of participants in the real estate industry, etc.
    Real Estate Studies + Social Welfare ▷ Can lead the studies on convergence of real estate and welfare for senior citizens in preparation of the aging society.

    Operation of Overseas Real Estate Market Exploratory Program

    The Department of Real Estate Studies has been operating the overseas real estate market exploratory program since 2015. The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity for the students to gain a broader perspective and insight for bench marking based on overseas practices as well as inspiring a global mindset in this age of globalization.

    Diverse Offline Meetings

    By reflecting the nature of real estate that every business starts with “human network,” the Department of Real Estate Studies has formed student networks through diverse activities such as regional meetings (Seoul (Gangnam, Gangbuk, Gangseo), Gyeonggi Nambu, Yeongnam, Honam, etc.), meetings per school year, integrated and per school year MTs, forums, hiking club, alumni meetings, and alumni association meetings.

    Opportunity to Acquire Licenses

    Relevant subjects are being operated such as certified realtor, housing manager, and certified public appraiser. In addition, special lectures from teaching staff with experience in designing examination questions are offered.

    Career after Graduation

    • Real estate asset management track: Acquisition of licenses such as professional asset manager (CPM, Financial Planner, etc.), Housing Manager, and Certified Public Appraiser, and employment as a practitioner in real estate asset management companies, public appraiser companies, etc.
    • Real estate development/sale track: Can work as professional practitioner in real estate trust company, construction company, etc.
    • Real estate brokerage/auction/taxation track: Acquisition of licenses such as Certified Realtor and Auction Title Examiner and employment as a professional practitioner in licensed real estate agencies, real estate consulting companies, etc.

    자격증 트랙에는 공인중개사과정과 주택관리사과정이 있습니다. 공인중개사과정 1차 시험 과목은 1학년 1학기 부동산학원론 과목 다음에 1학년 1학기 민법총칙(법학과과목), 1학년 2학기 물권법론(법학과과목), 2학년 1학기 계약법 과목 순으로 수강하시면 됩니다. 2차 시험은 1학년 2학기 부동산공법, 2학년 1학기 부동산중개론 과목 다음에 2학년 2학기 부동산 공시론, 3학년 1학기 부동산세법 과목 순으로 수강하시면 됩니다. 주택관리사과정 1차 시험 과목은 1학년 1학기 민법총칙(법학과과목), 1학년 2학기 물권법론(법학과과목), 2학년 1학기 계약법 과목 다음에 1학년 2학기 재무회계(재무회계학과과목) 과목 다음에 3학년 2학기 주택관리기술론 과목 순으로 수강하시면 됩니다. 2차 시험은 1학년 2학기 부동산공법 과목 다음에 2학년 3학기 공동주거론 과목 다음에 4학년 1학기 부동산자산관리 과목 순으로 수강하시면 됩니다.
