Educational Objective

The study of computer science has been steadily growing in popularity particularly with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution. As part of the larger IT (Information Technology) industry, computer science has been positioned as a core discipline that is leading the IT industry. Thus, the Department of Computer Science Engineering aims to cultivate talented human resources who will contribute toward the realization of an information-oriented society while working as computer experts in various fields through comprehensive theoretical education and practical hands-on training

Employing curriculum tracks to specifically train IT experts.

There are three main tracks of the Department of Computer Engineering including 1) the Hardware Track that focuses on system design and production, 2) Software Track for system operation and management, and 3) Web Programming Track for a computer and information communication-based application software development that can be applied to various service needs.

To help students acquire specialized knowledge, a variety of courses are available including circuit theory, control programming, computer structure, microprocessor and application system programming, programming language, data structure, algorithms, computer graphics, image processing, database, software engineering, computer communication, networks, simulations, experimental practice, etc.

The curriculum is organized and operated to equip students with practical skills and provide them with field-oriented education that enables students to use their knowledge, to help them on their path to becoming future IT experts based on the study track of their own preference.

Technologies such as robots, home networks, next-generation PCs, SOC design technology, and embedded systems, which are classified as new growth engines, are in the spotlight as future industries that will lead the new technology market over the next decades.
