Opened in 2018, the Department of AI Software Engineering was selected by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS) to train elementary and secondary school Coding instructors. As the importance and role of software has been increasing in virtually all industries, the need for specialized personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary for software development and education is likewise growing. The Department of AI Software Engineering aims to cultivate creative and talented experts who can contribute to the development of the software industry and advanced science and technology, which are the foundations of the 4th industrial revolution. In addition, the department offers systematic training courses as a response to the increasing demand for experts of next-generation technologies such as artificial intelligence.
