Department of Automotive IT Convergence Engineering to lead the Mechatronics Industry

The curriculum of the Department of Automotive IT Convergence Engineering consists of subjects such as mechanical and automotive design, and the use of automotive IT technology, allowing students to learn in three tracks: Electric Vehicle, Intelligent Vehicle, and IT Software. This allows students to fortifying their understanding of foundational theory, necessary for their future roles as experts in the automobile industry who can apply the knowledge and skills of convergence technology to their field.

Training competent professionals to lead the Korean automobile sector

The Department of Automotive IT Convergence Engineering provides a curriculum designed to cultivate experts who possess a firm understanding of related theories and practical skills in the fields of machinery, automobiles, IT, and convergence engineering. The department seeks to train professional intellectuals who understand basic theories and advanced IT technologies, and to transform them into capable technicians with practical skills who can serve as creative managers that can quickly adapt and be leaders of the future.

Interest has been rapidly increasing in the automobile industry and ICT (Information Communication Technology) particularly as the convergence of technologies between the two fields continues. As a result, there is a growing demand for more specialized personnel who can play key roles particularly as changes happen quickly in the area of convergence technology. The Department of Automotive IT Convergence Engineering aims to strengthen its students’ understanding of basic and solid theories and to enhance their technical skills in order to help them further advance technologies in the field of machinery and automobiles. The department operates training programs that focus on actual field work in areas such as mechanical and automotive design and application of automotive IT software technology.
