About the Department of Real Estate Studies
Training crossover real estate experts
Under the Hanyang Founding Philosophy of “Love in Truth and Deed”, Hanyang Cyber University’s Department of Real Estate Studies? was established in 2004 to train crossover real estate experts through cyber real estate education. Based on the future-oriented education system (e-learning) in the information age of the 21st century, the department seeks to train professionals with theoretical and real knowledge about real estate and practical education about the real estate industry.

Specialized Curriculum
The department provides a specialized curriculum that has been reorganized substantially to focus on offering students a more practical and field-oriented education. The program has three specialized tracks: Real Estate Asset Management, Real Estate Development · Sales, and Real Estate Brokerage · Auction · Tax. Basic and in-depth courses of the curriculum for each track are provided to enable convenient learning according to student level.
Double Major
At Hanyang Cyber University, students can have double majors in any of the two department listed below.
1) Most departments at Hanyang Cyber University fall within the Humanities or Social Science departments including the Department of Real Eestate Studies? allowing for easy convergence between departments.
2) Due to the broad nature of the real estate field, the program is related to other departments, offering students an interdisciplinary convergence education.
Operation of Overseas Real Estate Market Tour Programs
Since 2015, the department has been operating an overseas real estate market tour program the aim of which is to inspire a global mindset in students for them to gain a broader perspective and knowledge. Students can also learn about benchmarking of overseas cases firsthand.

Various Offline Meetings
Considering that one of the most important aspects of real estate is the notion that everything starts with the human contacts, the department emphasizes the need for students to network and thus, organizes various activities such as local meetings in Seoul (Gangnam, Gangbuk, Gangseo), South Gyeonggi Province, Yeongnam, Honam, etc.), school year meetings, integration and grade-based trip fields, academic festivals, mountain hiking clubs, classmate associations, and general alumni associations.

The department operates a variety of courses such as licensed real estate agents, housing managers, appraisers, etc., and provide special lectures by faculty members who have experience in test-related questions

Reorganized into a new real estate department curriculum in 2017, the Department of Real Estate Studies? was relaunched to reflect a more practical and field-oriented education, and courses are specialized in three fields to offer students basic and in-depth learning by level. Moreover, since 2015, the department has been running an overseas real estate market tour program to analyze the international market and inspire students to employ a global mindset by examining overseas cases for benchmarking using a broad perspective.
