In 2001, I was in the process of starting an IT-related company and establishing and operating an affiliated research center. It was difficult to manage my research staff due to a high turnover. Above all, I was eager to gain knowledge about hardware networks. So, when I decided to study, I didn’t hesitate to choose the Department of Information and Communication Engineering of Hanyang Cyber University, which was first opened in 2003. It wasn’t easy to study and work at the same time especially at my age. So, in order to not get discouraged, I served as the department representative and actively networked offline with my classmates. Studying was sometimes difficult, so through the advice of my professors in the department, I rented a lecture room at Hanyang University where I attended some offline lectures directly and could conduct a variety of studies.
After graduating in February 2006, I entered graduate school at Yonsei University and was able to gain valuable knowledge and meet many different kinds of people from all walks of life during my two and a half year Master's course. Thanks to the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Hanyang Cyber University, I was able to successfully develop my company and also my personal life.

Currently: Graduate school of Taylor's University
Six years ago, I entered Hanyang Cyber University because I was impressed with its information and communication engineering program. In particular, I liked the structured lecture plan and the curriculum that allows for 3-year study, early graduation which was a tremendous advantage for me in time and quality.
I have no regrets choosing HYCU even when looking back now. I had the opportunity to study in Malaysia first, but believed attending Hanyang Cyber University would be a better idea, especially since it is affiliated with Hanyang University. I was able to reduce the hassle of going to Taylor's University Graduate School in Malaysia, which I attend now, thanks to HYCU. I strongly recommended HYCU to my family members who are thinking about studying, and my younger sister also attended HYCU.
I chose Malaysia because I was looking for an English-speaking country located in Southeast Asia. Among them, I applied for Taylor's University, which has a graduate school famous for its scholarship system and network cyber security program. The preparation course was about a year after I attended a university language school and British Council program at the same time, earning favorable IELTS scores, and entering Taylor’s University after a proposal presentation interview. I haven't decided yet what I will do after I graduate, but I'm thinking about getting a job at a security-related company in Malaysia or Singapore or going on to a doctoral program. I am grateful to HYCU and satisfied with my studies there.

“I found my way at Hanyang Cyber University.”
My first purpose for going to Hanyang Cyber University was to add something impressive to my resume. At the time, most companies required applicants to have a college degree but I did not. But because of HYCU, that soon changed. Attending the program, I was able to increase my knowledge through the classes and find new path for my life.
There were two main opportunities that HYCU gave me that helped me. The first was a writing assignment about my dreams in a liberal arts class called Practical Writing. As I worked on my assignment, I started to remember my old dreams that I had forgotten because of busy life. The second thing that changed my life is attending an online lecture where my senior classmates shared their experiences. It gave me the inspiration to set new goasl for myself as an engineer. Eventually, I completed my studies with good grades and obtained the qualification as an engineer. Now, I’m in a more stable job environment and I am continuing to set new goals. All of these things might never have happened if I hadn't applied to Hanyang Cyber University.
I hope that current students who are facing facing the new challenges will persevere and that prospective students will confidently face their challenge in the future to achieve their dreams and goals with Hanyang Cyber University. You may find your path while during coursework or through student activities or offline meetings. When that day comes, you will feel like you've found the light at the end of the tunnel. I believe that if you don’t give up and continue on your path, you will eventually reach the end of the destination. Hanyang Cyber University will a step in the right direction.

“If you don’t do anything, nothing happens.”
It is a sentence that became my motto. What have I achieved this year? Until when do I have to spend time meaninglessly? Until when do I have to waste my time in a state of being a petty salaryman? At the end of every year, if you keep asking these questions, choose to enter Hanyang Cyber University and make small changes in your life.
If you have these concerns, please enter Hanyang Cyber University and make a small change in your life.
If you start something, new life will begin. After I entered Hanyang Cyber University, the second act of my life began vigorously. My goal was not just to get the diploma. I studied with enthusiasm and never missed to get a scholarship. At graduation, I was selected as the best student. The small changes kept allowing me to go one step further, and based on the knowledge of information and communication I acquired at Hanyang Cyber University, I became one of the Information & Communication Professional Engineers who are the highest experts of technology recognized by the state law. Without complacency, I have continued to make changes and give challenges by entering graduate school to walk through the path of a full-fledged expert. In order to grow into the next level, I recommend you to change yourself right away.
In the first step of that change, I can confidently say that Hanyang Cyber University will be your reliable partner. Start something new now!

Graduated from Bohai University, China
Currently: Transfer student at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanyang Cyber University
After graduating from high school, I tried to enter college with the major in Electrical Engineering, but I didn’t succeed. On the recommendation of my father, I entered the Department of Chinese Literature at Bohai University in China. I studied hard and graduated, but I didn't have an aptitude for that field, so while I was looking for something else, I found an electricity-related program at Doowon Institute of Technology. After studying, I discovered that electricity was fun and I wanted to study more about it, so I transferred to Hanyang Cyber University's Department of Electrical Electronic Engineering. My goal is to study harder than anyone else and get my license to get a job in the electrical and electronic field. Fortunately, 2019, I passed the 1st written test of the electrician certification and am preparing for the 2nd practical test. Make your goals a reality at HYCU!

Currently: Studying at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanyang Cyber University
I am working in the field of broadcasting (sound, video) specializing in installation. The broadcasting field has been transitioning from analog to digital and as a result, more specialized knowledge is being required. I chose to study at Hanyang Cyber University because I needed to have a systematic and concrete understanding of related theories to survive in my field. It's not easy to study while working, but it seems like I’ve had a lot of fun without realizing how quickly 2019 passed. Although only a year has past, it's been amazing for me to see how much fun studying can be! As I watch my progress continue, and I look forward to setting new goals.
According to the trend of the times, I challenged the Broadcasting and Communication Industry Engineer in the fall semester, and when I passed the writing, I felt so many differences from the challenge of studying by myself before going to school. So, I felt the importance of studying at Hanyang Cyber University. Although there is still a working type, I am working hard to pass the first exam next year.
Always trying something always makes me feel fear, but I believe that if you go through Hanyang Cyber University, that fear will disappear and you will see yourself gradually improving. I hope that you can be Hanyang Cyber University students who are moving forward toward their dreams.

Electrician (2021) certification acquired
Presently the Deputy Director of Electrical Safety Inspection for JungSeok Technology Co., Ltd.
I worked at a service center since I was a beginner in society in my 20s until I was in my 40s.
As I became middle-aged, I naturally thought of myself in the future, and I thought that if I were to take on new challenges for myself, the right time for me would be then, when I was in my early 40s.
The Department of Electricity and Electronic Engineering at Hanyang Cyber University was the place where I took on those new challenges. Breaking away from ideas of a vague future, I was able to learn a wide range of knowledge through Hanyang Cyber University while taking after the passion of my many seniors and classmates, and thanks to the guidance of top professors, my designs for the future did not seem so vague anymore. I enjoyed my college life, which was phased and specific ever since I made preparation plans for certification, and it encouraged me to have the courage to make things happen even though I was in my later years.
Thanks to this, I was able to obtain certification as an electrician in 2021 and I am currently working at a company that deals with the drainage and water purification of water under the Rural Community Corporation and the Water Resources Corporation and that conducts mechanical and electrical safety diagnoses of dams and I am fully drawing out a fruitful and happy future.
If you need a turning point for your vague life designs, I highly recommend that you design your dreams with Hanyang Cyber University, and as life online is becoming increasingly important in an era of the COVID-19 pandemic, I hope that you experience the expertise of differentiated online education through Hanyang Cyber University.

Acquired the Electrician License (2022)
Currently: Majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hanyang Cyber University
Currently: Director of Sungshin Electric Co., Ltd.
Facing a poor environment born in the countryside, I did't have chance to study much. Leading a social life, I felt desperately that I needed an academic background and certificates. Vaguely thinking that I had to start over somehow, I learned about Hanyang Cyber University.
Hanyang Cyber University has become a major turning point in my life. As I shared a lot of information with my professors and classmates, I set goals for a better future and continued to study. As a result, I could gain a great achievement of my electrician license.
Also, at the company I am currently working for, I have been treated better than before thanks to that certificate.
If you have a dream, don't hesitate and just start now.
You may think it's late, but it should be the earliest moment.
Being a guide, Hanyang Cyber University will present a good direction for the future and help you obtain knowledge and licenses in your field of expertise.
