Hanyang Cyber University's Department of English operates a curriculum that includes various areas of English learning from promoting basic communication to formal English in business settings to advancement to graduate school. Furthermore, to enhance the educational environment, offline activities are available and include English learning and practice clubs typically organized by the department’s student council, workshops and special lectures on topics including children's English education and ways to effectively improve English conversation skills, professor-students consultation for the graduation project, and classes with native speaker professors to foster student confidence and boost their communication skills.

In addition, the curriculum involves the use of a variety of multimedia materials as well as social media, and incorporates aspects of other disciplines in order to determine ways to address students’ learning needs while keeping content current and informative.

As internationalization efforts continue around the ever-shrinking world, English as the main mode for global communication continues unchallenged. Borders among counties continue to blur particularly as online interaction is bringing people together like never before, thanks to the advent of rapidly developing Internet technology. Hanyang Cyber University's Department of English is striving to do its part through online English diagnosis evaluation with outstanding educational content, which earned the Grand Prize for E-learning Contents by the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The department will continue to do its utmost to produce knowledgeable, proficient, and confident students of English.
