Course Enrollment

Please follow these steps for the course enrollment.

STEP 01

Access to the course registration menu

It is conducted on the school website > Academic Administration > Class > Student > Course Registration menu.

STEP 02

Application for a flexible semester

For up to two semesters during the enrollment period, the minimum number of credits necessary per semester can be adjusted from 12 credits to 6 credits.
The application period for a flexible semester is the same as the application period for courses, and you must apply for the flexible semester first before choosing your courses.
You should apply after checking relevant precautions, such as a longer period until graduation.

STEP 03

Selection of a subject for application

Go to the [Category] item with a list of open courses, and you can check a course from your own department if you choose [My Major], a liberal arts course if you choose [Liberal Arts], and a course from another department/major if you choose [Other Major] and then [Department/Major].
After selecting the subject you want to take, click [Apply]. Click [Apply] to add as many subjects that you want to apply for to your list of courses.

STEP 04

Check lesson plans

You can refer to lesson plans when choosing a subject.
You can check the course outline and objectives, textbooks and references, grade evaluation standards and methods, introduction of the professor in charge, and lecture contents by week.

STEP 05

Check your course list

Make sure that the courses you apply for are applied to your course list.

STEP 06

Elective course cancellation

If you want to change a subject you selected for application, click [Cancel] in the course list.
If you haven't proceeded with [Confirm Courses], you can change subjects before the deadline of the course registration period.

STEP 07

Course confirmation

After selecting your courses, click [Confirm Courses] at the top of the screen.
After course confirmation, you cannot make changes such as adding/deleting/replacing subjects, so please select your courses carefully.
However, it is possible to change a specific subject to another subject with the same number of credits during the course change period after the start of the semester.

STEP 08

Tuition payment

After confirming your courses, pay the tuition fee.
You can go to the school website > Academic Administration > Registration > Student > Tuition Payment menu, and choose a payment method among credit card, bankbook deposit, or bill payment.

STEP 09

Check application details

After completing course registration and tuition payment, check the course registration and payment history on the school website > Academic Administration > Registration > Student > Self-Tuition Payment Confirmation menu.

  • Taking a Course

    The following is about class
    composition and attendance.

    • Course Open Date
        Every Monday at 12AM (1st Week course opens at 10AM)
        * From the 2nd Week, lecture contents are available from Friday at 12AM (Early-bird Program)
    • Attendance Requirement
        For every lecture contents that opens weekly, a student must participate at least 50% of a lecture.
    • Mobile Devices
        The same attendance requirement applies for taking courses on mobile devices.
  • Examination

    The following is about
    exam time and participation.

    • Real-Time Examination
      • A student must take real-time exams on designated exam schedule
        * The exam schedule for mid-term and final will be announced in the beginning of the semester
    • Exam time
      • Weekdays 8pm ~ 11pm
      • Weekends/Holidays 3pm ~ 11pm
    • Assignment-type Examination
      • Assignment-type exams can be submitted in LMS. Please check the instruction in LMS on how to submit assignment-type exams.
  • Grading

    The following is about grade evaluation
    criteria and related content.

    • Graded components are attendance, examination, assignments and other academic activities and it may defer depending on courses. Courses will be assessed in a 100-point scale.
    • If a student attends less than 3/4 of a course, it is an automatic F grade for the course, regardless of other assessment grades.
    • If a student misses both mid-term and final exams for a course, the student will receive a F grade (a make-up assignment is an exception) regardless of other assessment grades.
    • Relative evaluation principle
        course with less than 30 students, graduation requirement courses, or practicum courses can be assessed by absolute evaluation or P/F.

Registrar

The following is about matter relating to school registration.

Returning Student
  • A student must submit an application form for returning to school before leave of absence expires.
  • The application form is accepted only during the designated period.
  • If a student does not apply for returning to school before leave of absence expires, he/she will be disenrolled.
Withdraw
  • If a student wishes to withdraw from school, he/she must submit a form for withdrawing from school and have permission from the head of department and the president.
  • Tuition refund will be made based on the educational legislation.
Disenrollment
  • Any students who does not return to school after leave of absence expires.
  • Any students who does not register for enrollment.
Leave of Absence
  • General Leave of Absence / Military Service Leave of Absence.
  • Students on a leave of absence retain their academic records during the period of absence, but the period of leave of absence is not considered as a period of enrollment.
  • A student can be granted with leave of absence a total of 3 times.
Readmission
  • A student who on disenrollment can be readmitted to the same program before the disenrollment.
  • The readmission applications are accepted on a designated period before a semester begins.
Changing Major
  • A student can apply to change one’s major.
  • The date for changing major will be announced before a semester begins.

What is Graduation assessment?
Graduation assessment refers to the examination of qualifications to ensure that graduating students have met all the requirements for graduation. Graduation is possible only when all graduation standards are met, and conversely not possible if even one of graduation criteria is not met. However, graduation qualifications may change slightly for each department for early graduates. Such information will be posted as a website announcement for each department. The following is the standard graduation requirements.
  • Must earn at least 140 credits in total
  • Must earn at least the minimum requirement for graduation credits for each completion category
  • Must have a GPA of 1.50 or higher for all grades
  • Must complete graduation-required courses for each department (thesis, exhibition, project, etc.)
  • Please check the brochure for details on minor and double majors.
