Cultivating designers with practical knowledge and skills to plan, design, and manage products and services required for high-tech industries such as IoT, robots, AI, big data, and sharing economy
Subjects include those that are address the demands of the industry and human needs for product-service design in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, particularly the ongoing digital transformation
Design Entrepreneurship
Producing business designers to understand the processes and methods of starting and operating design companies of products necessary for daily life, by employing creative ideas, producing and distributing final products
Classes include those focusing on the planning, production, and distribution of products developed through creative ideas, and can be made available to various consumers
Living Design is a major created to help students learn about the processes and methods of planning and designing products and services necessary in the living environment that constitutes human life. The educational objective is to cultivate professional designers to be future leaders of the field by learning “Concept Making”, which is a creative design concept of searching and discovering the things necessary for a happy, daily life. This comes with “Visualization” of creatively expressing results concretely, such as through idea sketches, digital modeling and rendering, and 3D printing.

The Department of Design integrated the Department of Digital Design and the Department of Spatial Design, which were opened in 2002 and 2003, and reorganized into the Department of Design since 2011, establishing the educational goal of becoming 'a cradle of creating new design values through retraining.'
